1. Controller

The party responsible for data processing on this website is:

Matthias Widmann

Germany
Email: contact@advanced-quantum-devices.com

2. Overview of Data Processing

This website serves the purpose of market validation for a spin-defect characterization system. We only collect personal data within the scope of the purposes described below.

3. Hosting

This website is hosted by ALL-INKL.COM - Neue Medien Münnich (Hauptstraße 68, 02742 Friedersdorf, Germany). The hosting provider collects the following data in server log files, which your browser transmits:

Processing is carried out pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR based on our legitimate interest in the security and error-free operation of the website. The data is automatically deleted after 30 days.

4. Market Validation Survey

4.1 What Data We Collect

When you participate in our survey, we collect:

The survey can be completed entirely anonymously. Providing your email address is voluntary.

4.2 Purpose of Processing

We use your answers exclusively for:

The data will not be used for advertising, profiling, or automated decision-making.

4.3 Legal Basis

The processing of your survey data is based on your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us via email.

4.4 Data Transfer and Delivery Path

Your survey responses are submitted to a self-hosted PHP script running on the same server that hosts this website (ALL-INKL hosting in Germany). The script verifies a consent confirmation (timestamp), enforces an IP-based rate limit (the IP is only stored as a hash, never in clear text), and then forwards your responses by email to our contact mailbox contact@advanced-quantum-devices.com, which is likewise hosted by ALL-INKL in Germany. No data is transferred to third-party services or outside the EU. All processing takes place exclusively on our own infrastructure within Germany.

4.5 Data Retention

Your survey data will be stored for the duration of the market validation phase and deleted no later than 12 months after collection, unless further consent has been given.

5. Fonts

We use the Inter and JetBrains Mono typefaces for consistent rendering. All font files are served locally from our own web server (ALL-INKL, Germany). No connection is established to third-party servers (in particular, not to Google Fonts), and your IP address is not transmitted to any third party.

6. Your Rights

Under the GDPR, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

To exercise your rights, please contact: contact@advanced-quantum-devices.com

7. Right to Lodge a Complaint with a Supervisory Authority

If you believe that the processing of your personal data violates the GDPR, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.

Competent supervisory authority in Baden-Württemberg:
Der Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz und die Informationsfreiheit Baden-Württemberg
www.baden-wuerttemberg.datenschutz.de

8. Analytics with Umami

This website uses Umami, a privacy-focused, cookie-free web analytics tool. We operate Umami ourselves on a server provided by Hetzner Online GmbH (Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany) within the European Union, reachable under the subdomain analytics.aneron.de. Umami does not set cookies, does not collect data that would allow individual identification, and does not track users across websites. Only aggregated, anonymised access statistics (e.g. pages viewed, referrer, browser, country) are processed.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in reach measurement and secure operation of the website). No data is shared with third parties, and no data is transferred outside the EU through our Umami setup.

9. Scheduling via Cal.com

For voluntary appointment scheduling (for example, short conversations as part of our Design Partner Program or an initial 20-minute call), we use the service Cal.com, operated by Cal.com, Inc., 2261 Market Street #4059, San Francisco, CA 94114, USA. Cal.com is not embedded on this website. When you click one of the Cal.com links (e.g. “Skip to a 20-min call”, “Book a 20-min call” or “Start with a workflow conversation”), you will be redirected to the domain cal.com. Cal.com then processes the information you enter there (typically your name, email address and chosen time slot) for the purpose of arranging the appointment.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in low-friction appointment scheduling without prolonged email exchange). Because the provider is based in the United States, the transfer is subject to Art. 44 et seq. GDPR. According to Cal.com, this transfer is covered by Standard Contractual Clauses and — where applicable — the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework. For details about Cal.com’s processing, please see cal.com/privacy.

If you prefer not to use Cal.com, you can contact us at any time at contact@advanced-quantum-devices.com to arrange an appointment by email instead.

This website occasionally contains outbound links to research and project partners (e.g. qci.dlr.de for the DLR SQuaP project). Such links open third-party pages whose data processing we have no influence over. We do not embed these services and do not transmit your data to them automatically.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to update this privacy policy to ensure it always complies with current legal requirements or to reflect changes to our services. The updated privacy policy will apply to your next visit.
